The System has Sound but Media Players don’t have sounds in Windows 10 Anniversary Version: Causes a

I set my system sounds lower than all others by accessing setting and the advanced app volume and device services settings but each time I reboot my PC I have to reset it. Is there anyway to make Windows 10 (latest version) actually save and remember these settings between sessions please?

The System has Sound but Media Players don’t have sounds in Windows 10 Anniversary Version

If you have a machine upgraded from previous Windows, or older external sound devices, some or all of your devices may lack Windows 10 drivers that are properly matched to the device. In that case, Audacity 2.1.2 or versions before that might show Internal PortAudio error on launch and not see any devices at all, or might show error opening sound device when playing or recording on some devices.

If you think of polar patterns as the shape of the area that a microphone "hears", omnidirectional hears everything at equal volume from all angles (in a 360 degree sphere surrounding the mic), while cardioid only hears what's right in front of it at full volume and other sounds at increasingly diminished volume as the sound source moves further away from the center of the mic (audio techs call this off-axis). You should care, because one of the most useful features of a microphone is the ability to control its pickup. We like polar patterns so much, that some of our professional studio microphones have as many as nine different patterns!

You might find that when you buy a Blu-ray disc it also comes with a regular DVD version to use with older players. Similarly, if you buy a 4k Ultra HD Blu-ray disc it may also come with a Blu-ray version too. However, this isn't always standard so make sure you check you have the right one before you buy.

The rise of streaming means that dedicated movie disc players are more rare than they used to be, and that's a shame: anyone who's experienced the combination of one of the best Blu-Ray players and one of the best TVs knows how superior the Blu-ray version is. And the best Blu-Ray players don't just make the most of your 4K TV. They also deliver incredible sound, especially if you connect them to one of the best soundbars or best home theater systems.

We've tested the best 4K Blu-ray players you can buy, putting them through their paces with all kinds of content and with all kinds of TVs and sound systems. That means we know which players really deliver, and which features really make the most of your home cinema system. And we've also included the latest Xbox and PlayStation consoles, because they too support 4K Blu-Ray (or at least, they do in the versions that have disc drives).

It may seem obvious, but you'll also want to think about the design and size of the Blu-ray player. Do you have enough room on your TV cabinet to fit a Blu-ray player? Will it sit underneath your soundbar or be tucked away on a separate shelf? We've included the dimensions of all of the best 4K Blu-ray players above, so it's time to get out your tape measure.

But unlike traditional channel based systems, Dolby Atmos doesn't just send audio at discrete levels to each speaker. The technology can also produceup to 118 simultaneous sound objects, allowing the sound designer to place each sound and voice to exact points within the soundfield rather than simply assign them to specific channels. These objects can be manipulated and moved around within the space creating a convincing 3D soundstage.

The opening track on 1972's Super Freak is a brilliant, nearly side-long medley of three tracks from Curtis Mayfield's Superfly: the title track, "Pusherman," and, of course, "Freddie's Dead." Heavy, druggy, and psychedelic, with thick organ and wah-wah guitars, the medley sounds more like the psychedelic soul of War or even Funkadelic than the sparkling Latin jazz of Pucho's earlier albums. The rest of Super Freak is a little lighter in tone, but this is still the most groove-oriented and least overtly Latin jazz-oriented of this group's albums, trafficking instead in shuffling grooves like "Oak Hurst's Art" and vibes-led ballads like "Judy's Moods" and "One More Day." Latin jazz purists may balk, but this later became a classic of the '90s acid jazz movement, which some sources date to the U.K. hip-hop group Galliano pinching a sample from this album's version of "Freddie's Dead" for the 1989 single "Frederick Lies Still." -AllMusicThis is its first pressing in twenty years and comes to record stores first as part of RSD Black Friday.

Most PCs specify a sensible default value of 64 clock cycles for each device (set in the BIOS), but unfortunately some devices, particularly graphic cards and network interface cards, have a nasty habit of forcing their timer to a much higher value, such as 248 or 255, which lets them hog the buss for much longer than the other devices. For musicians, this can result in audio and video glitching and stuttering problems, occasional lock-ups when playing sounds, audio distortion, and sometimes even continuous white noise instead of music coming from the output socket.

It can be really annoying to have a beeping Bluetooth headset when using a Windows PC. This problem can create issues with your media playback and distort the audio. But why is your Bluetooth headphone making a beeping sound in the first place?

Tried following every tutorial I can find but none are working, I have series x and the menu sounds work perfectly fine but as soon as I load an app or a game it goes silent. Any help really appreciatedSozSource
